PsyPhyCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to contract on a part-time basis, providing essential health services for a federally supported client in Edinburgh, Indiana. This role involves weekly medical services to support the health and wellness of youth aged 16–24, preparing them for future employment.
Work Schedule:
- Hours: Services to be provided in the amount of 14 hours per week, 10 hours shall be provided in Edinburgh IN and 4 hours on site in Indianapolis IN,
- Facility Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed on weekends)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial medical evaluations within 48 hours of student entry and complete entrance physical exams within 14 days.
- Perform required laboratory studies, including:
- Hemoglobin or hematocrit testing
- Pregnancy tests and Pap smears (for females over 21)
- Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV testing
- Urine drug screening
- Administer immunizations, including boosters, hepatitis B for health trainees, and Tuberculin skin tests (Mantoux).
- Provide vision and hearing screenings.
- Coordinate with off-site physicians for specialized assessments as needed.
- Collaborate with the Center Mental Health Consultant on prescription services and health program needs.
Qualifications:
- Active license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Indiana.
- Malpractice/professional liability insurance and general liability insurance.
- Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
