Clinical Administrative Manager for an Urgent Care Clinic

This Urgent Care is designed to offer clinical intervention for individuals experiencing escalating psychiatric crises, providing rapid engagement, assessment, and intervention to prevent further deterioration into acute crises or grave disability. With stays of up to two weeks possible, this clinic provides a voluntary alternative to Psychiatric Emergency Services at San Francisco General Hospital. Handicap-accessible and strategically situated, it is equipped to address the needs of residents experiencing mental health crises with some medical needs.

Position Overview: As the Clinical Administrative Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and residential treatment program. From managing administrative tasks to supporting clinical staff, your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided by the Urgent Care Center.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with at least two (2) years of experience in office or clerical roles.
  • LVN/LPT certification required, showcasing your understanding of clinical practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Avatar.
  • Proficient typing and word processing skills to handle data entry tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable with computers and assisting others with technical support needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

    Work Schedule and Availability:

    • Flexible Work Schedule: This role offers flexibility to accommodate various schedules
      • 40 hours per week
    • Evening and Weekend Availability: While not mandatory, candidates willing to work evenings and weekends are highly desirable.
    • On-call Rotation: Participation in an on-call rotation is required, which may include providing coverage during nights and weekends as needed.



    Administrative Duties:

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community services and referral sources.
    • Efficiently manage scheduling tasks to optimize clinic operations.
    • Oversee HR and personnel matters, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
    • Collect and maintain accurate client data for record-keeping purposes.
    • Coordinate program facility maintenance to uphold a safe and welcoming environment.
    • Provide IT and Avatar support to staff members as needed.
    • Undertake miscellaneous projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
    • Offer assistance to clinicians and staff members as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.
    • Perform heavy data entry and typing tasks with precision and attention to detail.


    Medication Room Management:

    • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee the ordering of medications and supplies.
    • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
    • Maintain the medication room and equipment to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
    • Liaise with CBHS pharmacy as necessary to facilitate medication-related processes.
