PsyPhyCare is seeking a part-time Primary Care Physician to provide essential health services for a Federally-supported client serving at-risk youth, ages 16 to 24, at a residential wellness center in Edinburgh, Indiana 46124.
The position involves working on-site weekly to support the health and wellness of students (population ranges from 100 to over 300) as they prepare for meaningful employment. This role is critical in fostering students' health-related skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for employability.
Location:
Our client provides care at a Wellness Center servicing at risk youth on a residential campus to prepare them for meaningful employment. Students ages range from 16 thru 24 years at our location Edinburgh, Indiana.
Work Schedule:
- Hours: 14 hours per week. 10 hours shall be provided in Edinburgh IN and 4 hours on site in Indianapolis IN
- Facility Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed on weekends)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial medical evaluations within 48 hours of student entry and comprehensive physical exams within 14 days, using approved forms.
- Oversee required laboratory studies, including hemoglobin/hematocrit, pregnancy tests (for females), Pap smears (females > 21), chlamydia and gonorrhea testing, HIV testing, and urine drug screening.
- Administer immunizations, including booster shots and hepatitis B vaccines for health training students, and conduct Tuberculin skin tests (Mantoux).
- Perform vision and hearing screenings.
- Coordinate prescription services with the Center Mental Health Consultant.
- Refer students to off-site providers for specialized assessments as needed.

Qualifications:
- Active licensure to practice medicine in Indiana
- Ability to practice independently.
- Malpractice/professional liability and general liability insurance.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- CPR/AED certification.
