Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Dentist to provide high-quality dental care for a Health Center in Albion. This role offers flexibility for both part-time and full-time schedules, making it an ideal opportunity for those looking to diversify their income while maintaining a balanced lifestyle. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental health issues, working closely with a team of hygienists and assistants to ensure the best patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Chief Dental Officer
  • Contribute to providing the highest standard of patient care
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all personnel policies and procedures
  • Provide dental diagnostics and treatment services, as per New York State's Dental Practice Act
  • Accurately record patient evaluations and treatment in the EHR system
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed
  • Supervise dental assistants and hygienists working alongside you
  • Demonstrate commitment to the health center's values and mission
  • Participate in annual continuing dental education to stay current in the field
  • Follow all infection control and exposure safety protocols
  • Contribute to departmental peer review processes
  • Ensure completed notes are locked within three days of patient visits
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by senior management

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited dental school
  • Completion of General Practice Residency as required in New York State

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Daily supervision of dental support and provider staff, including assistants and hygienists
